On the concept of bodyweight, Taiwanese had a positive opinion toward obesity, that chubby body was blessed and healthy in the early years after the war. Nevertheless, western medicine has pointed out that the adverse effects of obesity on the body. Obesity was not the representative of the blessing, but the risk of disease. With the change of aesthetic and health concepts, people who lost weight expanded. The news also promoted Taiwanese to accept and imitate high-profile people to lose weight. |
