綜合大學日本語文學系專業日語之定位－－以東吳大學為例

Japanese for Specific Purposes in Japanese Department: In the Case of Soochow University

在國內提及專業外語時，一般都以為這是科技大學或者綜合大學應用外語系的課程重點，與一般綜合大學外國語文學系關係較淺。因此，當東吳大學外語學院將「專業外語」列為學生之核心能力項目之一時，立刻受到質疑。尤其是傳統教學色彩濃厚的日本語文學系相關人士，似乎認為這不是東吳大學外語學院應該設置的核心能力項目。然而，所謂的專業外語乃是指特殊目的所需的外語。就如同專業英語（English for Specific Purposes）教學應該受到一般英文學系或外國語文學系的重視一樣，專業日語（Japanese for Specific Purposes）教學在日本語文學系也應該受到相當的重視。筆者為綜合大學日本語文學系教師，不過也曾經擔任過財政部人才養成訓練班、免稅店、航空公司等單位的日語教師以及日語導遊、領隊國家考試口試人員。就個人的經驗而言，一般日本語文課程也可以由初級階段導入專業日語教學的元素。關鍵在於教師的認知、教學理念、課程設計與教學活動設計。筆者認為，日本語文學系即使因學分限制而無法設置日本語文學以外的專業日語課程，也應該依其畢業生之就業趨勢為學生建構相關專業日語能力培育之教學活動內容，同時也應該將專業日語的概念導入語言課程設計概念中。而專業日語所需之跨文化溝通素養則應該在所有相關課程中加以培育。本論文基於上述理念，將論述個人對於日本語文學系學生專業日語能力培育之看法。

When making a foreign language for specific purposes into subject in Taiwan, it is considered for a relation to be shallow with the department of foreign language.It seems that it had doubt immediately when it was set to one of the educational targets in School of Foreign Language and Cultures. And several persons said that this was not a target of the Department of Japanese language and culture.However, are the same with the education of English for Specific Purposes being thought as important by the English literature course, the education of Japanese for Specific Purposes should be thought as important by the Japanese department.According to my experience, the lesson of general Japanese is also can also introduce the element of Japanese for Specific Purposes from a beginners' class. The idea of teacher education and a course design are important.In this paper, the possibility of Japanese for Specific Purposes is considered.
