Drawing on the foreign entry and business model literature, this paperdevelops an alternative framework based on dynamic resources feedback foranalyzing business model innovation process in emerging markets. This paperargues business model innovation in emerging markets begins with local allianceand resource from partners. This business model innovation is dynamic and pathdependent, implying the dynamic business model innovation is shaped byorganizational asset and capability that are evolved and accumulative in emergingmarkets over time. With the proposed framework in mind, the paper adopts acomparative case study methodology to analyze the business model innovation intwo Taiwanese firms -- Chia Jei Business Technology company and FlowringTechnology corporation. This paper concludes by discussion implications fortheory, practice and future research. |
