論遼代五京之性質

The Character of Five Capitals in Liao Dynasty

渤海、遼、金皆設有五京，而遼代以五京設為五道（省），作為政區之劃分。五京中東、南、西三京為沿用之城市，上、中京則為遼代所創建，其五京有其始末異同，而其建制之緣由、目的與功能亦應有其不同，故對五京建設之歷史及其性質宜作探討。況且論者皆以遼朝之中央朝廷為「捺缽」之形態，則中央與五京間之政經關係亦有研究之必要。對於以五京為地方政區之核心，其城市性質並未有較多的研究，此對於遼代城市之探討有其缺漏，應予以加強補充。

Five capitals exist in Bou-Hai, Liao, and Ching dynasties. It was until Liao toestablish Five Diao（Provinces） in associate with five capitals in order to clarify thepolitical boundaries.Among five capitals, East, South, and the West were existing citieswhere as the other two appears in Liao. Five capitals are different not only in thefeature and ages but also by the originalities, purposes, and functions. Therefore, therebuild-up histories and characteristics need to be discussed. Further, many peopleinterested in Liao history assumes that its central government is in Nei-Bou form. Theessences of this viewpoint also need to be studied. While assuming five capitals as thecore of sectional area has scarcely been done, little research has been on thedevelopment of rach capital. More studies should be developed to this area to supplythe lack.
