In the era of Internet of Things (IoT) today, “Smart Home” has already been conceptually proved but still not fully commercialized yet. Even though the technologies and applications of IoT are so prosperous in all areas, consumers seem to be lukewarm and find no desperate demands. Thus, the current task is to bring about the demands to create opportunities. The case that studied in this work was built at 1918, it started from home appliances developing and manufacturing and has migrated to the system integration service provision over Smart Energy Management and IoT related technologies. Recent market reports show that this company is developing a community construction plan in Tucheng, New Taipei City and its core technologies of Smart Home will be revealed and demonstrated in the properties. In this work, the customer demands of “Smart Home” will be explored with analysis of public document, expert interviews and insights obtained through the case study. Modified Delphi Method and Analytic Hierarchy process are be applied to derive and elaborate the weightings of each function for Smart Home. The conclusions and further research open topics of this paper will also be provided to the case study object company for their reference. |
