The Blind Students’ Hope by using Information Technology

在資訊科技發達的今天，兩位輔英科技大學應外系的盲生雖然透過淡江大學提供的軟硬體設備使用電腦及手機，在生活和學習上應用仍有許多問題無法解決，經由深度訪談及長時間觀察，我們想要找尋電腦及手機APP上的語音軟體，希望能改善盲生的問題。依照兩位盲生不同的使用情況及需求，最終在電腦及手機找尋到四個工具軟體。在電腦是NVDA及Freemake Video，在手機是OK Google及Google翻譯。這四種工具軟體在生活及學習上提供給盲生很大的幫助。最後再錄製電腦及手機之安裝過程教學影片，讓盲生能夠聽取，有疑問時，老師及旁人能夠看到畫面解釋來協助處理。

The major subjects of this study are the two blind students from the Department of Foreign Languages, Fooyin University. In the era of technology, although the two blind students can get both the software and hardware facilities provided by Tamkang University to help them with their learning and daily life, there are still unsolved problems existing in their living environment. Through in-depth interviews and long-term observations, we would like to search for the computer software on the market and the voice software on the phone App that can improve the conveniences of life for the blind students. In accordance with the different usage needs of the two blind students, we have eventually found the four software tools for computers and mobile phones. NVDA and Freemake Video are for the computer while OK Google and Google Translation are for the mobile phone. These four software help them with their learning and daily life. Finally, we recorded down the teaching videos of both the computers and mobile phone installation processes to allow blind students to listen to. Whenever the blind students are in doubt, the teachers and others can watch the screen to help the blind students with the process.
