The Prevention of Postoperative Ileus in Malignant Gynecologic Surgery

婦癌患者在手術後有時會發生腸阻塞，增加罹病率，延長住院時間。手術前後，採用適當步驟：盡量縮短術前空腹時間、避免灌腸、早進食、咀嚼口香糖、區域性麻醉、手術後早下床走動、和使用鴉片類拮抗劑等快速手術恢復的一些過程，即可降低麻痺性腸阻塞的發生，以縮短住院時間。

Postoperative ileus is a common complication of malignant gynecologic operation, leading to increased morbility and hospital stay. Perioperative strategies employed to prevent postoperative ileus include avoidance of preoperative fasting and mechanical bowel preparation, use of epidural or spinal regional anesthetics, modification of pain management strategies to limit opioid use, gum chewing and early ambulation. When these strategies are used in combination as part of a fast-track surgery, there is a significant decrease in time to return of normal bowel function and a shortened hospital stay.
