From 1984 to2007, there 15,679 accumulative HIV infection cases reported (15,040 citizens, 639 foreigners). There were 4,104 accumulative AIDS cases (4,041 citizens, 63 foreigners). In 2007, there were 1,975 HIV infection cases reported (1,935 citizens, 40 foreigners); of these, there were 1,072 AIDS cases (1,061 citizens, 11 foreigners). The data of citizen case characteristics were as follows: Gender distribution HIV: Male: 1,755 (90.7%); Female: 180 (9.3%). The sex ratio of HIV cases was 9.8:1.0. AIDS: Male: 979(92.3%); Female: 82 (7.7%). The sex ratio of AIDS cases was 11.9:1.0. |
