In 2007, 1,442 Gonorrhea cases were confirmed (incidence rate = 6.30 / 105), which was more than the 1,437 confirmed cases in 2006 (incidence rate = 6.30 / 105). The characteristics of confirmed Gonorrhea cases were as follows: The sex ratio was 8.8 (8.8:1.0), with 1,296 male cases (89.9%) and 146 female cases (10.1%). Among them, cases aged 15-39 were highest (n = 1124, 77.9%), followed by aged 40-59 (n = 248, 17.2%). aged over 60 (n=57, 4%), and others (less than 10 cases, 0.9%). Cases occurred year-round with a wide geographical distribution. The number of cases residency was highest in Taipei County (n = 451, 31.3%), followed by Taipei City (n = 293, 20.3%), Taoyuan County (n = 182, 12.6%), Taichung City (n = 58, 4.0%) and Tainan County (n = 48, 3.3%). No confirmed cases in Lienchiang County. |
