In 2007, 246 Shigellosis cases were confirmed (incidence rate = 1.07 / 105, 45 were imported cases) which was more than 139 confirmed cases (incidence rate= 0.61 / 105, 38 were imported cases) in 2006. The characteristics of confirmed Shigellosis cases were as follows: For the 45 imported cases, the sex ratio was 1.0 (1.0:1.0), with 22 male cases (48.9%) and 23 female cases (51.1%). Among them, cases aged 25-39 were the most (n = 22, 48.9%), followed by those aged 15-24 and 40-64 (n = 9, 20.0%), respectively, 5-14 (n = 5, 11.1%). |
