In 2007, none indigenous case was confirmed in Taiwan. 13 foreign imported Malaria cases were confirmed (incidence rate = 0.06 / 105) which was about less than 26 confirmed cases (incidence rate = 0.11 / 105) in 2006. All of these cases were imported. The characteristics of confirmed Malaria cases were as follows: The sex ratio was 12.0 (12.0:1.0), with 12 male cases (92.3%) and 1 female cases (7.7%). Among them, cases aged 40-64 were highest (n = 10), following aged 25-39 (n = 3). |
