In 2007, 12 Enterovirus Infection with Severe Complications were confirmed (incidence rate= 0.05 / 105), comparing to 11 confirmed cases (incidence rate= 0.05 / 105) in 2006. The characteristics of Enterovirus Infection with Severe Complications were as follows: The sex ratio was 1.7 (1.7:1.1), with 321 male cases (63%) and 189 female cases (37%). Most of cases were adults greater than 20 years old. Among them, incidence was highest among individuals of age 40-64 were highest (n = 253), followed by those aged 25-39 (n = 96), and greater than 65 years old (n = 82), 15-24 (n = 54), 5-14 (n = 19), less than 4 years old (n = 6). |
