In 2007, 202 Acute Hepatitis B cases were confirmed (incidence rate = 0.88 / 105) which was about a quarter less than 245 confirmed cases (incidence rate = 1.07 / 105) in 2005. The characteristics of confirmed Acute Hepatitis B cases were as follows: The sex ratio was 2.1 (2.1:1.0), with 137 male cases (67.8%) and 65 female cases (32.2%). Among them, incidence was highest for individuals of aged 25-39 (n = 92), following those of aged 40-64 (n = 62), 15-24 (n = 29), more than or equal 65 years old (n = 16), 5-14 (n = 1), 1-4 (n = 1) and less than 1 year old (n = 1). |
