In 2007, 156 Acute Hepatitis C cases were confirmed (incidence rate = 0.67 / 105), a quarter less than the 154 confirmed cases (incidence rate = 0.67 / 105) in 2006. The characteristics of confirmed Acute Hepatitis C cases were as follows: The sex ratio was 1.8 (1.8:1.0), with 99 male cases (64.7%) and 54 female cases (60%). Among them, incidence was highest for individuals of aged 40-64 (n = 60), following those of aged 25-39 (n = 55), more than or equal 65 years old (n = 27), 15-24 (n = 10), and 1-4 (n = 1). Cases occurred year-round with widespread geographical distribution. |
