There have been four epidemics of Measles since 1985. These four epidemics caused 2,219 cases in 1985, 1,386 cases in 1988, 1,060 cases in 1989 and 264 cases in 1992. Except for the above-mentioned years, annual count of each rear was beneath 100 cases. In 2007, 10 Measles cases were confirmed (incidence rate = 0.04 / 105), a 100% increase from the four confirms cases (incidence rate = 0.02 / 105) in 2006. The characteristics of the confirmed cases are as follows: Case were four male (40.0%) and six female (60.0%), and the sex ratio was 0.7 (0.7:1.0). Among all cases, incidence was highest for individuals of age 25-39 years (n = 4), followed by those: age 1-4 (n = 3), less than one years of age (n = 2), and aged 15-24 (n = 1). |
