In 2006, there were 2,986 (2,938 citizens, 48 foreigners) HIV infected cases reported; of these, there were 583 (579 citizens, 4 foreigners) AIDS cases. From 1984 to the end of 2006, there were 13,704 ( 13,105 citizens, 599 foreigners) accmulative HIV infected cases reported; of these, there were 3,032 (2,980 citizens, 52 foreigners) accumulative AIDS cases. In 2006, the data of citizen case characteristics are as follows: Gender distribution HIV: Male: 2,633 (89.6%); Female: 305(10.4%). The sex ratio of HIV cases was 8.6:1.0. AIDS: Male: 550(95.0%); Female: 29(5.0%). The sex ratio of AIDS cases was 19.0:1.0. Age distribution HIV: 25-39 y/o: 1,813 (61.7%); 40-64 y/o: 701 (23.8%); 15-24 y/o: 394 (13.4%). AIDS: 25-39 y/o: 303 (52.3%); 40-64 y/o: 176 (30.4%); 15-24 y/o: 77 (13.3%). The month of diagnosis distribution Cases occurred year-round with a wide geographical distribution. |
