In 2006, 189 Acute Hepatitis A cases were confirmed (incidence rate = 0.83 / 105) which was about a quarter less than 257 confirmed cases (incidence rate = 1.13 / 105) in 2005. The characteristics of confirmed Acute Hepatitis A cases are as follows: The sex ratio was 1.2 (1.2:1.0), with 103 male cases (54.5%) and 86 female cases (45.5%). Among them, incidence was highest for individuals of age 25-39 had the highest incidence (n = 73, 38.6%), following those aged 40-64 (n =54, 28.6%), 15-24 (n = 36, 19%) and 5-14 (n = 13, 6.9%), elder than 65 years old (n = 12, 6.3%) and aged 1-4 (n = 1, 0.5%). |
