Application of New Methods: Knowledge Services

本館自2015年4月啟動圖書文獻數位化工程，成立數位中心，以提升正體華文在數位化及網路時代之能見度與影響力為鵠的，致力於國家文化學術出版品之數位化與推廣利用。除肩負華文圖書文獻之數位化工程外，亦為國內文獻典藏機構（單位）數位化技術之規劃、協調及推動等交流與服務之重地。中心於2016年增加圖書自動掃描機器人（ScanRobot）1部（共計4部）、A2平床式掃描機1部（A1、A2共計4部）與A1平台掃描機及相關掃描管理軟體等，提供機關掃描服務申請，另有平臺式掃描機4部，提供讀者掃描服務。

In order to undertake the project of digitization of books and documents, the Digitization Center was established in April 2015. Its goal has been to promote the visibility and influence of traditional Chinese characters in the digital and internet era, sparing no effort in the digitization and promotion of the nation’s cultural and academic publications. The Center is not only responsible for the digitization of Chinese books and documents but is also an important institute devoted to exchanges and services in the planning, coordination, and promotion of digitization techniques for all the nation’s institutions that have document collections. In 2016 the center procured an additional Scan Robot (for a total of 4), a new A2 flatbed scanner and a new A1 platfrorm scanner, and software to offer scanning services to member institutions as well as four platform scanners to offer scanning services to the public.
