Trans-Pacific Partnership(TPP) and Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership(TTIP) are both the new-type of economic and trade agreements initiated mainly by the developed countries and the EU. The above agreements, by-passing the WTO, have ushered in a new era of the“nest-generation of trade and investment"which are characterized by the values of the mature market economies, have been inflicting huge impacts on the order of the global trade and investment, and, thus have formed the “stumbling blocks" for China in terms of realizing the goals of national rejuvenation and the strategy of peaceful development. This paper endeavors to probe into the history and current status of the TPP and TTIP, analyze their impacts on the order of the international trade and investment, the possible ramifications for China, and finally put forward some preliminary policy thought on the ways and means on how to manage the above-said“new normals"of the development of the world economy. |
