The purpose of this study were to investigate the social capital and mental health of 7th students, and to examine their relationships. The 7th students in Taiwan were the target population of this research, and the samples were selected by using stratified random sampling. The data collection was based on structural questionnaire method, and there were 13978 valid samples. Data were analyzed by pearson correlation and multiple regression. The main results of this research were summarized as follows: 1. The depression of 7th students were influenced by family atmosphere, parent-child relationship, peer relationship, teacher-student relationship, schoolclub participation. The better family atmosphere, better parent-child relationship, better peer relationship, better teacher-student relationship, and less schoolclub participation could result the less depression of 7th students. The explanation power of these variables toward the depression was 6.5%. 2. The psychosomatic symptom of 7th students were influenced by family atmosphere, peer relationship, teacher-student relationship, schoolclub participation. The better family atmosphere, better peer relationship, better teacher-student relationship, less schoolclub participation attributed to less psychosomatic symptom. The explanation power of these variables toward psychosomatic symptom was 2.5%. The results of the study were discussed, and the recommendations for future researches and applications were proposed. |
