The purpose of this study aimed to explore the barriers and solving strategies of evaluation capacity building for institute of technology educators. Literature analysis, interview, and questionnaire survey were used for reaching the purpose. According to the literature analysis and the findings of interview, the issues about barriers were figured out in order to draft the questionnaire. Second, after the examination of another 6 experts in evaluation field, the formal questionnaire was made for 1,204 educators in institute of technology. At last, the solving strategies were approved from group discussion by 8 experts from institute of technologies. The findings were as the follows: (1) the barriers of evaluation capacity building for institute of technology educators could be separated into 4 parts and ten items were included, (2) the intention of perception from the educators in institute of technology towards the barriers of evaluation capacity building was “high”, (3) there were 15 strategies as suggestions for solving the evaluation capacity building for institute of technology educators. In light of the research findings, concrete suggestions were proposed for schools, teachers and the future researchers. |
