The official document in a hospital system has been preceded by paper works in cascade order, as well as it results in document-traveling, time-wasting, and missing issues. By the introduction of electronic document system, the improvement of the administrative efficiency is expected. In order to maximize the effectiveness with less effort, not only do we have to alter the present operative environment, but also the acceptance of members in the organization. According to Davis’ (1989) “Technology Acceptance Model” which had researched on employees of a district teaching hospital in Northern Taiwan, the study is to investigate the acceptance of the computerized information management, and the influence on the attitude and inclination for continuous usage. This study regards the employees in a district teaching hospital in Northern Taiwan as the subjects through purposive sampling. The subjects being the de facto user of the electronic document system, a total of 151 copies of questionnaire were provided, 121 copies were retrieved. The validated retrieval rate is 80.13%. The result shows that the managing staff has higher perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use than the non-managerial staff does. The better the user could cognize the present status of the organizational change in processing document, the higher the level of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use of the system could be. Moreover, the user’s attitude toward this perceived system will alter the inclination to continuous usage. Therefore, in the future, when the hospital authority introduces new informational operating system, there are two aspects should be taken into account, namely: level of acceptance or defiance for organizational change and the perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use of the system. Overall, the investment in informational technology will increase efficiency of operational management as well as benefit of hospital. |
