This case report is based on a study of the nursing experience of caring for a dialysis patient who has tuberculosis as well as possible hypercalcemia and malnutrition. The patient also has to adapt the different methods of family's care. Physical and mental exams occurred between August 27th, 2002 and October 30th. Gordon's 11 items on life functions were used to assess this patient's need. We found that the patient's health problems included: 1.Fluid and electrolyte inbalance-hypercalcimia 2.alnutrition 3.Impaired physical mobility 4.Anxiety. We made new plans for patient and patient's family care as well as offered related sanitation education which to help improve the hypercalcimia, malnutrition, physical mobility and anxiety. We hope that this will make the patient adopt this new life style and have a brighter outlook in the future. |
