This study is major aimed to establish a portable non-invasion type infrared imaging system for finger blood vessels. The proposed system uses infrared transmission to capture finger vessel patterns. For accuracy, a stepping motor was used to continuously record finger blood vessel images from different angles, and then the images were reconstructed into serial 2D and 3D images using the back projection principle. The results show that the proposed method is feasible for phantom verification, but distortions exist between the human finger and the corresponding reconstructed images. In conclusion, the preliminary results indicate that the infrared technique and back projection algorithm are useful, but need further development. |
