This study was conducted to investigate the level of job satisfaction of the working staffs of university library, A selfmade questionnaire was administered to 312 employees of sixteen university libraries in the Republic of China. The data obtained were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, and Scheffe method. The results indicated that: 1. At present, the university library staffs have not achieved satisfaction on their job. 2. The education and department affiliation variables did not produce significant differences among the respondents in job satisfaction. 3. The marital status and university category variables did not produce any difference among the respondents in job satisfaction. 4. Scores of job satisfaction differed significantly, by sex, age, professional education, supervisory levels, tenure, career orientation. |
