巧固球運動引進我國之探討（1977－1979）

Research on the Tchoukball Development from 1977 to 1979 in Taiwan

筆者從事教育工作中，發現國小學童參與巧固球運動，受傷少，有趣且全身運動量大，深受學童喜愛。實際參與推展中，發現台灣巧固球運動在國際間運動項目中穩得第一名而且擔任過12年國際巧固球總會Federation Internationale de Tchoukball（簡稱F.I.T.B）的會長，都是特別之處，引起筆者想了解當時引進推展之動機，藉以方便了解日後之推展。本研究目的主要在探究台灣巧固球運動傳入發展之過程，採用文獻分析法及訪談法，從當時的傳入背景談起，來了解巧固球運動在民國66年引進初期到民國68年正式加入國際巧固球總會前，巧固球在台灣推展的情形。民國66年3月蔡敏忠、方瑞民參加國際體育聯盟Federation Internationale d’Education Physique（簡稱F.I.E.P）年會時，因為我國F.I.E.P會籍問題，去英國拜訪當時F.I.E.P兼F.I.T.B秘書長的安德魯，並說明願意學習在F.I.E.P會場上介紹的最新運動──巧固球，因為相談甚歡，4月12日我國亦取得F.I.E.P的代表權，方瑞民事後帶回巧固球規則及買1組網架回台灣推展。當年5月在省立基隆中學及師大體育館舉辦研習會開始推展巧固球運動。剛引進時期幾乎以講習會為主，利用社區資源，且集中在台中市。直到民國67年4月23日中華民國巧固球協會（以下簡稱全國協會）成立後，正式主導全國巧固球業務之推展，到民國68年10月22日台灣正式加入國際巧固球總會。同年11月3日補選常務理事，並改選劉正豐為第二任理事長後，台灣巧固球漸漸蓬勃發展。Tchoukball has been a popular sport with elementary school students for its characteristics of fun, less injury and whole body exercise. The sport in Taiwan also has won many championships in the international athlete meetings and position of chairperson of the Federation Internationale de Tchoukball (F.I.T.B.) for 12 years. These interesting facts shape up the author's motivation to do research on the development of the sport from 1977 to 1979 in Taiwan.This research will give the readers the background information of Taiwan to better understand the situations from 1977 when Tchoukball was first introduced, to 1979 when Taiwan officially joined the F.I.T.B. In March 1977, Dr. Min-Chung Tsai and Prof. Ray Ming Fong attended the annual meeting of Federation Internationale d'Education Physique (F.I.E.P.) Due to Taiwan's special international status, they visited the chief secretary of F.I.E.P. and F.I.T.B. in U.K. and expressed their willing to learn the newly introduced sport in F.I.E.P. meeting --- Tchoukball. Through the pleasant conversation, Taiwan was authorized to represent F.I.E.P. on April 12th. Fang also purchased a set of equipment in order to promote this sport in Taiwan. In May 1977, the promotion workshops were first held in the Municipal Keelong high school and the gymnasium of the National teachers' university. Most of the workshops in this early stage were lectures and took place in Taichung city. It was not until April 23rd 1978 that the National Tchoukball-ball Association (N.T.A.) was officially founded to lead the nation wide propagation of the sport. October 22nd, 1979, Taiwan officially joined F.I.T.B. On November 3rd, F.I.T.B. elected Cheng-Fong Liu as the second permanent administrator. The promotion of Tchoukball in Taiwan started booming.
