With the prosperity of national economy, the education of design study has rapidly developed for the need of the society. However, it is time to review the contents of the courses pertaining to the quality of education after several years of experiences. Through the teaching syllabuses written by the teachers who are teaching the fundamental courses of styling and design in vocational senior high schools, this study attempts to review the conditions that a teacher masters the goals of the courses and how a teacher explains the outlines of the courses. Also this study will make a comparison of seven schools. Upon investigation, it was found that the fundamental courses of styling and design of the seven schools were in great chaos including not understanding of the goals of the two courses, mixing up of the outlines, similar contents of the two courses and the contents in these two courses and in the other courses largely overlaps. These chaotic conditions have not been presented in national published text books and any other related books. But, Why are these courses proceeding in this way? Is it the result of the attitude of thinking nothing but entering a higher school, seeking publicity or immediate utility? A further discussion should be undertaken. |
