Related to the cultivation of the Taoist Inner Dan through the Chou-Tien circulation in the practice of Chi-Kung, The Illustration of the Inner Path aims at connecting the Jen-Mai and Tu-Mai and thus belongs to the practice of the Minor Chou-Tien. Since Tai-Chi Chuan as a martial art can also be regarded as a section of Chi-Kung, this paper attempts to map The Illustration of the Inner Path onto the body of the Tai-Chi Chuan practitioner, making the latter as the corporeal moving version of the former. Enacted through the continuous Tai-Chi bodily movement that initiates simultaneously the vibration of Chi in the body, The Illustration of the Inner Path and Tai-Chi Chuan can thus intimately and perpetually intertwined together. |
