Purpose: The purpose of the study was to identify the motivation and consideration criteria for sport volunteers among collage student in Taiwan. In addition, the differences in motivating and considerations criteria by background variables were examined. Methods: The self-reported questionnaire with random cluster sampling was applied to collect the data. Descriptive statistics and one-way MAVOVA were used to analyze the data including 4812 valid questionnaires. Results: The results showed that motivation for sport volunteers among college students could be grouped into four factors. The strongest motivation was 'Feed back and service' followed by 'professional development,' 'self-challenging' and the weakest was 'easy for learning' Secondly, the consideration criteria for the sport volunteers cloud are grouped into these factors. The most important was 'individual availability,' followed by 'criteria organizational sanity,' and 'personal benefits.' Thirdly, significant differences were found in Motivation for the sport volunteers by 'School type', 'Major', 'Grade', 'Sport volunteer experiences', 'Exercise habit', and 'Sport club participation'. Finally, significant differences were found in consideration criteria for the Sport volunteers by all selected background variables. Conclusion: The author of this paper that college student motivation and consideration criteria for sport volunteers were influences by students' background variables, and they were significant differences among students' different background variables in college student. To avoidances consumed most resource for organization, sport-related organization should take more consideration about the demands for different background variables students', people who want to recruit student volunteers. |
