With evolutions of music trends and the lead of multiculture, im¬plementation of music education in Taiwan has confronted with chal¬lenges and bottleneck. There is virtually no internal study and overall analysis about music education dissertations of the Art and Humanities in Grade 1-9 Curriculum yet. In consequence the objective of this study is to analyze music education dissertations of the Art and Humanities in Grade 1-9 Curriculum in order to gain an understanding of its research situation and trends. The results show that between 2009 and 2012, it had the highest number of music education dissertations. The most used research topic was dimensions of teaching and the objects were chiefly teachers and textbooks. The research methodologies adopted were mostly quantitative research. Also, regarding collective research results of ad¬ministrative units at schools implementing music education from related dissertations were induced and presented in this study; so as to provide suggestions for school administrative units, the Art and Humanities edu¬cation consultative group, equipment funding and study schemes while implementing music education in the future. |
