The study investigates the relationship between directors' distrib¬uted leadership and teachers' professional development in preschool. Lit¬erature review seeks to understand the meaning and to look at the related researches in terms of directors' distributed leadership and teachers' pro¬fessional development. It points out that the current practice of director's distributed leadership and its' impact on teachers' professional develop¬ment. It discusses educational system, curriculum, directors' leadership and teachers' professional development, so the improvement for preschool can be found. Some suggestions are made for the official administration and the interested researchers. The finding of the study indicates the possibility of distributed lead¬ership and professional development in preschool. However, It also points out the need of a comprehensive written plan for practice though the implementation is done. Therefore, this study proposes to: 1. cultivate the concept of directors' distributed leadership; 2. actively give more responsibilities to teachers from directors in preschool; 3. identify teachers' role; 4. work on the sketch of the meaning of directors' distributed lead¬ership and teachers' professional development. |
