This article explores the challenges faced by individuals with hearing impairments in medical environments. In these individuals, physiological limitations can result in daily communication becoming arduous, easily leading to misunderstandings between patients and medical staff. Consequently, medical staf must have considerable patience with these patients and ensure they employ a soft approach that can address the patients’ anxiety, confusion, and sense of helplessness. Compassion is a core value of the present author’s institution; it represents an ability to empathize with a patient’s anxiety, pain, and feelings of helplessness and to stay close to their hearts. Only by upholding the value of compassion can a medical environment be constructed in which every interaction is full of human dignity, true friendliness, and inclusivity. Therefore, the attention of every employee is crucial to resolving misunderstandings, and an absence of misunderstandings can enable medical teams to focus on their core duties, ultimately safeguarding the resilience of a health-care system.
