The quality certification program of the Joint Commission of Taiwan (JCT) aims to safeguard the quality of care delivered by healthcare institutions and encourages the public to seek services from certified healthcare institutions to receive high-quality care. Since 2023, JCT has developed the Quality Certification Platform, which integrates certification data with up-to-date information on institutional services. The platform not only streamlines certification procedures but also provides the public with accessible and diverse healthcare information. By enhancing public awareness of the value of certification and strengthening trust in certified healthcare teams, the platform serves as an effective bridge between quality assurance and public confidence. This article provides an overview of the Quality Certification Platform, outlining its concept and key functions, and uses the progress and plans of the Disease Specific Care (DSC) Certification Program as an example to illustrate how the platform facilitates the promotion of certification and empowers the public to make informed healthcare choices.
