This study aims to explore relevance of integrating ChatGPT into vocational and technical education (VTE) teaching, the students’ perception of teachers’ ethical literacy and their own academic ethics literacy. Using purposive sampling technique, the study selected 120 students from the home economics program of a VTE school in Changhua County. After integrating ChatGPT into the teaching, a post-instruction survey was conducted, and the data were analyzed using SmartPLS, yielding the following conclusions: 1. Integrating ChatGPT into VTE school teaching is significantly correlated with students’ “perceived teacher ethical literacy” and “academic ethics literacy.” 2. Within the context of ChatGPT-integrated teaching, students’ “perception of teacher ethical literacy” is significantly correlated with their “academic ethics literacy.” 3. In the pathway of ChatGPT integration and “academic ethics literacy,” students’ “perception of teacher ethical literacy” has a partial “mediating effect.” This study proposes the following recommendations: 1. Schools at all levels should plan and design various training programs to enhance teachers’ ethical literacy. 2. Schools at all levels could organize interactive AI activities for students, guiding them toward autonomous learning and ethical adherence, to help foster positive academic ethics literacy. |
