對現代文選學創立者是誰，有兩種意見：一是黃侃，二是駱鴻凱。黃侃文選學有明確的理論指導和科學方法，且全面系統，具備現代學術的基本特徵。駱鴻凱《文選學》亦有貢獻，但其基本框架、主要觀點承襲黃侃。現代文選學創立者非黃侃莫屬。
