Community security governance means a way to provide community security by building a network of multi-sectors including local government, police department, non-profit organizations and private sectors. Because community security problems are complex, cross-sectors collaboration is necessary for dealing with it. The purpose of this article is to study the performance measurement of community security governance from a comparative perspective. Firstly, we will clarify the contexts and the contents of community security governance. Then, we are trying to compare the differences among the quantitative vs. qualitative and the process-oriented vs. result-oriented performance indicators of community security governance. Finally, we will review the performance measurement of community security governance in Taipei city as an example. By using a comparative analysis method, theoretical implications and policy recommendations will be provided according to the findings and discussions. |
