Chain-structured routing protocol PEGASIS can reduce redundant data and energy consumption in wireless sensor network, but topology adjustment will bring a lot of expense. The distributed and uneven nodes lead to a larger gap between the energy consumption and the larger delay distance of the nodes. The algorithm of the protocol leads to the formation of long chains. In order to improve the survival time and connectivity of WSN and increase the number of nodes in the network, we propose an improved node clustering cluster scheme, taking into account the residual energy of nodes. The simulation results show that the improved protocol has better performance than PEGASIS in balancing energy consumption and prolonging the network life cycle. |
