The purpose of the study is to investigate the durability of high performance concrete contain nano-silica powder (NSHPC). The test variables are water-binder ratio (W/B = 0.32) and the quantity of nano-silica powder added to cement (1.2%, 1.8%, 2.4% by weight). Fourier Transformation Infra-Red (FTIR) and field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM) were applied to analyze the microstructure properties of nano-silica powder, and the study is to investigate the durability by chloride ion penetration test and corrosion rate. The result shows that the nano-silica powder is true nano-SiO2 cage structure and identificated by FTIR and FE-SEM. Also nano-silica powder increases in the cement paste can and has the compact strengthened effect by the nanoparticles even disperser. The durability test increases concrete of resistance value the nano-silica powder to be possible to promote 30% to 42%, the coefficient of penetration then mostly is lower than 100 coulombs, demonstrated nano-silica powder can effectively promote the concrete durability. |
