Hydrogen embrittlement of 2205 duplex stainless steel has been evaluated using electrochemical permeation measurement, hydrogen microprint technique and slow strain rate tensile test in this study. Hydrogen transport in 2205 duplex stainless steel is mainly lattice diffusion in ferritic phase and was confirmed by hydrogen microprint technique. The fractography of precharged specimen shows brittle fracture in both the ferritic and austenitic phases. |
