The effects of environmental factors, such as temperature, flow rate, chloride ion and oil/ brine ratio, on the efficiency of oil-soluble, film-forming corrosion inhibitors were investigated by the measurements of weight loss and polarization resistance. The results show that the temperature, flow rate and oil/ brine ratio are the main factors affecting the efficiency of corrosion inhibitors. The oil phase can enhance the inhibition efficiency and play a dual role on the decay' of inhibitor film. Finally, the decay process of inhibitor film on the metal surface is discussed. |
