2024年雲林縣北港鎮埃及斑蚊消除計畫成效評估

Effectiveness of the Aedes aegypti Mosquito Elimination Plan in Beigang Township, Yunlin County, 2024

因應氣候變遷可能導致病媒蚊分布改變，衛生福利部疾病管制署協助雲林縣政府規劃辦理「雲林縣北港鎮埃及斑蚊消除計畫」。藉由孳生源清除、培育志工、社區動員及教育宣導等方式，加強清除戶內外積水容器及登革熱病媒蚊，並藉由追蹤列管及評核機制，提升社區動員量能，促進孳生源清除。多數實施範圍內里別社區環境於計畫執行後大幅改善，布氏指數降至1級以下，且達到短期內未再發現埃及斑蚊蹤跡之目標。期望此次施行之各項防治作為，可加深該地區公私部門及社區民眾登革熱防治知能，平時落實相關預防工作，使防疫量能在地方生根傳承，避免因病媒蚊分布改變導致登革熱傳播風險提升。

In response to the potential shift in the distribution of disease-carrying mosquitoes caused by climate change, the Centers for Disease Control, Ministry of Health and Welfare, assisted the Yunlin County Government in planning and implementing the ''Yunlin County Beigang Township Aedes aegypti Elimination Program.'' The program strengthened dengue vector control by removing breeding sites, training community volunteers, mobilizing local communities, and conducting public education campaigns to enhance the clearance of indoor and outdoor water-holding containers and dengue vector mosquitoes. Through a systematic tracking, monitoring and evaluation mechanism, the program also increased community response capacity and promoted sustained breeding site removal. After implementation, the environment in most communities improved significantly, with the Breteau index dropping below 1, and the short-term goal of no further detection of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes was achieved. These interventions are expected to enhance knowledge of dengue fever prevention and control across the public and private sectors and local communities, ensuring that routine preventive actions are implemented. In the long term, the program aims to enable prevention capacity to take root, and mitigate the increased risk of dengue fever transmission associated with changes in mosquito vector distribution.
