This study focuses on battlefield tourism as a form of cultural tourism, with particular attention to tourists’nostalgic emotional experiences and psychological motivations in Kinmen battlefield tourism. Previous studies have indicated that battlefield sites not only carry historical memories and educational functions but also evoke tourists’emotional resonance with war history and the value of peace. This study applies Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) as a topic modeling technique to conduct text mining on Google Maps tourist reviews of Kinmen battlefield tourism, identifying the core themes and perceptions that tourists are concerned with. The results of the LDA topic model reveal six major themes:“Military Space,”“Military Life,”“Visiting Relatives and Friends,”“Kinmen Scenery,”“Local Specialties and Street Food,”and“Information Media and Transportation.”Through this integrated research approach, this study not only enriches the theoretical discussion of battlefield tourism and nostalgic tourism but also provides a new theoretical perspective and practical contribution for understanding the process of tourists’value transformation in nostalgic tourism. |
