The purpose of this study is to explore the growth of the time spent doing housework after school and the change trajectory of hap¬piness among junior high school students, and to analyze the impact of the growth of time spent doing housework after school on changes in well-being. Based on the second semester of eighth grade in the learning status database of junior high school students in Keelung city, the data of 3,525 students at three time points in the first semester and the sec¬ond semester of ninth grade, through potential growth model analysis, showed that the growth trajectory of junior high school students’time doing housework shows a U-shaped development trend, and the second semester of eighth grade students spend more time doing housework. The lowest level was in the first semester of ninth grade, and the highest level was in the second semester of ninth grade. However, well-being gradually increases as the semester goes by. The lowest level of well-being was in the second semester of eighth grade, and the highest level was in the second semester of ninth grade. The more time students spent doing housework after school in the second semester of eighth grade, the better their well-being will be in the second semester of eighth grade. At the same time, the increase in housework time in the three semesters had an increasing effect on the growth of happiness in the three semesters. Schools, teach¬ers and parents should encourage students to allocate time after school and take the initiative to help with housework, which will help students’happiness improve semester by semester. |
