In recent years (2021-), the National Science and Technology Museum (hereinafter referred to as the NSTM) has been conducting cross-sectoral cooperation with CPC Corporation, Taiwan (hereinafter referred to as CPC). The project will focus on the "Kaohsiung Refinery" as the main site for multi-faceted innovative cooperation in the museum's professional fields of collections, research, exhibitions, education, and recreation. The staff of NSTM and CPC started with the restoration of blueprints and then extends to the case of the cultural relics inventory at the Xinbeimen Repair Workshop. The preliminary plan for the "Kaohsiung Refinery Exhibition Hall" has been submitted, and the former No. 6 Warehouse has been reserved as space for the exhibition hall. Planning and production of exhibition materials for the municipal historic site: D-type Dormitory of the Sixth Fuel Factory. Discussions were held with CPC regarding the operation and management of the D-type dormitory after it was opened to the public, including establishing relevant systems and planning science education and recreation activities. This has brought a fresh new look to the CPC Corporation's Hongnan dormitory area in Taiwan. |
