Taiwan became a super-aged society in 2025. Due to the long-term impact of low birth rates, the total population began to decline after peaking in 2019. The population aged 15–64, the main working-age group, continues to decline and age, and by 2070 it is projected to be equal in size to the population aged 65 and above, which will affect the size of the potential labor force supply. |
