Purpose: A project using multimedia nursing guidance to improve gas pain after laparoscopic surgery. Methods: Problem analysis identified the main reasons for gas pain discomfort after laparoscopic surgery as follows:1. Insufficient nursing guidance teaching materials and incomplete gas pain nursing guidelines, 2. 46% of postoperative gas pain incidence and 34% of comfortable state. We conducted a literature review to identify, formulate, and evaluate the clinical feasibility of various countermeasures, including the creation of a multimedia video on ''Activity, deep breathing and cough; ABC aerobic exercises'' and hot compresses on both shoulders. Results: Three months after project implementation, incidence of gas pain after laparoscopic surgery was reduced from 46% to 12.5% through the execution of '' ABC aerobic exercises'' and hot compresses on both shoulders. Additionally, the comfort state during the hot compress process increased from 34% to 50%. Conclusion: The authors recommend incorporating ''ABC aerobic exercises'' and hot compresses into the routine care after laparoscopic surgery to prevent or reduce gas pain. |
