Background & Problems: Chest rehabilitation exercises benefit ventilated patients by strengthening respiratory muscles, facilitating ventilator weaning, and reducing complications. From 2022 to 2023, the consistency of chest rehabilitation exercises performed through inter professional collaboration in our unit was only 2.6%, primarily due to non - standardized procedures, limited team communication, and insufficient staff awareness, thereby affecting care quality and patient recovery progress. Purpose: To enhance the consistency of chest rehabilitation exercises and improve care quality in a subacute respiratory care center. Resolution: The project team conducted interprofessional consensus meetings to establish standardized procedures and revise routine manuals. Education sessions were implemented for staff, and a visual cue board for chest rehabilitation exercises was developed as a communication platform integrated into daily handover routines. Result: Following project implementation, the consistency of chest rehabilitation exercises increased from 2.6% to 100%, the implementation rate improved from 78.6% to 82.4%, and the ventilator weaning rate rose from 61.6% to 64.3%. These results indicate that standardized procedures and visual cues effectively enhanced procedural consistency and care outcomes. Conclusion: Interprofessional collaboration supported by standardized procedures and visual cues effectively improved the consistency and quality of chest rehabilitation exercises. Continued implementation, integration into new staff training materials, optimization of electronic visual interfaces, and strengthened family education are recommended to sustain long-term outcomes. |
