This paper investigates the objects currently preserved in the Fu Ssu-Nien Library, which originally belonged to the Oriental Culture Research Institute established by the Japanese, focusing on the dissemination process of the rare ancient books they acquired. These books underwent a meticulous selection process by professionals from over ten thousand ancient texts, resulting in only a tenth of the original collection, which includes many potentially rare and remarkable works. Unfortunately, due to various reasons, these books are not widely known, making them deserving of in–depth research. This paper approaches the subject from two perspectives:“Describing the Dissemination Process”and“Explaining Questions about the Dissemination Process.”Through historical document collection, it can be determined that these rare books underwent four stages of dissemination, involving many gradually forgotten events. Additionally, regarding the dissemination history of these books, many records are unclear and, in some cases, even present conflicting opinions, giving rise to numerous unresolved issues. It is hoped that through this thesis, it can assist the academic community in gaining a deeper understanding of this historical period and attract individuals to engage in research. |
