When scholars discuss Tung Chung-shu's Morality and Infliction, they seldom discuss how ching and chuan actualize in his morality and infliction thought, and What the characteristics of this thought are if viewed from ching and chuan theory. Therefore, this author take the interest to discuss these questions and conclude: First, the importantence of ching is based on its teaching of morality. Second, the requisite of Ch'uan is to use infliction to help morality. Third, how to use infliction properly. Fourth, the practice of infliction: the autumnal equinox sentence. |
