The relationship between stressors, coping, health status (psychological and psysical) was investigated in a population of 470 members in the army. Military stressors was found the more powerful influence than personal and family stressors to the health status. In coping, 「positive thinking」 had significant positive relation to the health status, 「negative thinking」 and 「tolerance」 had sinificant negative relation to health status. The highest personal and family stressors were 「worried about family security」、「lack opportunity to make girlfriends」、「family member sick or live in hospital」、「fall in love」、and 「close relatives die」. The top five of military stressors were 「worried outdated when retire」、「military life was boring」、「worried about family health frequently」、「lacking sleeping time in the army」. The most frequent · coping devices were 「if everyone can do I can do」、「this is the way everybody must pass」、「making joke and talk nonsence with peers」、「tolerance」、「serve army is men's obligation」. In general, the psychological health condition was good, the somatic complaints were fatigue、doze、and pimples. |
